About the UN

The United Nations (UN) is an organization between countries established on 24 October 1945 to promote international cooperation.

It was founded to replace the League of Nations follwing World War II and to prevent another conflict. 

When it was founded, the UN had 51 Member States; there are now 193. Most nations are member of the UN and send diplomats to the headquarters to hold meetings and make decisions about global issues.

Luzon sits at the northern end of the Philippines. It is the country's largest and most populous island and is home to manila, the capital cit of the Philippines. 

2. เกาะวิสายาส์ (Visayas) ตั้งอยู่ทางตอนกลางของประเทศ

Visayas is one of the Philippines' 3 main island group, along with Luzon and Mindanao.

3. เกาะมินดาเนา (Mindanao) ตั้งอยู่ทางตอนใต้ของประเทศ 

Mindanao is the second-largest island in the Philippines.
